on immersion in virtual realities, feedback, series, lost

i do very much appreciate feedback on this videos. part of the reason is in this video. the other is that i don't know how, yet, but i guess i maybe want to include some of it in my paper. so if you have the feeling that you can relate to one or another thing please leave a comment.

    lost-fault... by... a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z?

  4. I also have my experience with blogs, YouTube channels, and TV serials. The immersion you're talking about is always a part of this experience.

I try to remind myself that blogs and vlogs are only a projection of a personality on the chosen medium, and that the character I believe to see is worlds apart from its real counterpart. Anyway, I do get attached. I'm an addict. I want that nothing bad happens to this person. I'm excited about what's going to happen next...

Talking about TV serials, it's a dangerous thing. I always have to fight against myself when I receive a new set of episodes on DVD, and if I "loose" I easily spend the whole night watching the entire season.

Is that the kind of comment you expected? I probably missed the point. =)

  6. i'll do that. and it's going to be such fun. it's the same yes. just grabbed it, was still shattered from that night after lost. and i did something so very smart today and watched the whole (like you know WHOLE) first season until the very end. i am basically nutters.

lost-fault d. maybe n would .... haha ... probably like it ;) how's the rest of the abc? like let's say, how's a. on your side?

    eine plüschnutte? verdammt.

you're such a brave man sascha! thank you for not crying and for commenting!

bad answer to "why don't i blog" - "i have a life now" or "i am very busy and important and don't need anything more stapled to my head" or "i have nothing to say in that format". maybe dramazone. yes. we all need output.

@martin - yes, but is that person/projection not real? real in the sense that it can move you? it's sometimes really weird.
no point missed on your side of the screen. mine was all "lost" today... thank you :)

  8. Ethan ... Ethan is a nice guy

this damned show got me hooked(!!) for weeks (didn't start watching 'til season 4 was out) ... now I'm scared of time and jungles. TVshows with that really progressional kind of storyline totally make me their bitch ...

urite, it's impossible to stop midst season ... but it hurts just as well to hit the end of a season ... especially there's nothing but a 6 months hiatus for substitute :C

  10. You're right about that projection thingy. It's probably not the same as the real world counterpart but still real (and kind of independent) in the sense that it can move you--and it does.
